K2Tor is a database related project to help you better understand Oracle internal data storage mechanism by looking deep inside into Oracle storage internals, sorting them bit by bit to answer the storage questions you always have. Knowing the answers will help you better tune your database, understand the maintenance tasks that have to be done on your database, and save the data in cases of database corruption when standard recovery procedures can't help. We have split our achievements and created two separate products: K2Tor Edu, Educational Edition and K2Tor Pro, Professional Edition. K2Tor Edu, Educational Edition is a free product, which give you an ability to explore Oracle storage internals and which main purpose is to be a good piece of support for you while exploring the world of Oracle database. K2Tor Pro, Professional Edition is designed primarily to do direct extract of your data out of Oracle database files in case of database corruption.
